Product details

Product: nickel crucible with lid

Material: Ni200 Ni201

Content: ≥99.5%

Features: one-time molding, durable products, uniform wall thickness.

1. The melting point of nickel is 1455 degrees, and nickel has strong resistance to alkalinity and corrosion. Therefore, nickel crucibles are commonly used to melt iron alloys, slag, clay, and refractory materials.

2. The melting temperature of the nickel crucible should not exceed 700 degrees, because at high temperatures, nickel is easily oxidized.

3. crucible for nickel with lid cannot be used for precipitation burning.

4. Flat-style nickel crucible are suitable for molten samples of NaOH, Na2O2, Na2CO3, NaHCO3 and alkaline solvents containing KNO3, not for acidic solvents such as KHSO4 or NaHS04, K2S2O7 or Na2S2O7 and molten samples of sulfur-containing alkaline sulfide flux.

5. Metal salts such as Al, Zn, Pb, Sn, Hg in the molten state can make the nickel crucible brittle. Borax can not be melted in the nickel crucible.

6. Nickel crucibles often contain traces of chromium, and care should be taken when using them.

7. The new nickel crucible should be burned into a blue-violet in a muffle furnace to remove the oil stain on the surface, then boil with 1:20 HCl for a while, and then rinse with water.
